Inspired by the original pair worn during his part in the legendary Powell Peralta video ‘Future Primitive’ from ‘85 and those pictured on the June 2020 Thrasher Magazine cover, this Vans Sk8-Hi Reissue is styled in a classic black and red checkered aesthetic that remains true to Grosso’s OG shoe of choice. Styled with mixed-material uppers crafted from both reinforced canvas and brush-back suede, these high-collar sneakers feature a reissued-upper pattern featuring archival detailings such as curved collar shape and supportive stitching, whilst the crisp-white auxetic outsole features warped checkerboard print detailing for added notoriety. Vans’ iconic Waffle tread patterning beneath makes light work of any given terrain, whilst the DURACAP overlays and PopCush sockliner combine to provide a cushioned wear fresh out the box.
